Teach English at a prestigious international kindergarten in Nagoya, Japan

IKA (International Kids Academy) is expanding and requires a NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKING FEMALE TEACHER.

CONTRACT: 12 months, starting May 1st 2007 through to May 31st 2008
SALARY: The teacher will receive 250,000 yen per month for the first 3 months, and 260,000 yen thereafter. A bonus of 50,000 yen every six months will be paid at the end of each year.
HOURS: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, with approx. 6 weeks vacation per year.
APARTMENT: A fully furnished apartment is provided at 35,000 yen per month.
MEDICAL: The Company can organize subsidized medical insurance and the cost to the teacher is approximately 4,000 yen per month.
WORKING VISA: Sponsorship is provided.

There are absolutely no hidden up-front costs to the teachers.

REQUIREMENTS

Native English speaker
University degree
Experience with young children
Genuine love of children
Genuine interest in Japan
Able to work in a team environment
Flexible to the demands of the job
Kind, outgoing personality
Great sense of humor (When teaching kids, this is a must!)

The atmosphere at the kindergarten is light and friendly and we are after a teacher who can display the above qualities and wants a truly rewarding job with a great bunch of dedicated people.

There is curriculum in place and we have a pair-teaching system with a Japanese teacher assisting each foreign teacher. All the teachers have built up a great rapport with each other and enjoy their jobs immensely.

The successful applicant will be a teacher who very much wants to be involved in the kindergarten and also have the ability to show creativity and passion for the job.
