Date: Thursday, 3 May 2007
Situgu International Buddhist University (SIBA) welcomes English teachers who are interested in teaching English as a Second Language in a rural Buddhist monastic environment. These courses aim to strengthen the English skills of the local monastics and laypeople of Sagaing, Myanmar. Teachers will be provided with free lodging and food within the monastic compound. Teachers will also be welcomed to freely attend SIBA's courses on Buddhism (all classes are in English). Unfortunately, SIBA cannot provide a teacher's salary. We accept teachers at all times of the year for any duration of time (minimum of two weeks). If you are interested in this opportunity or would like more information, please contact the Sitagu International Buddhist University at Sitagu01@mandalay.net.mm or teachercharlieinburma@gmail.com.
