4 Weeks Paid Vacation, Paid Training, Attendance Bonus

Yonsei ELP is looking for full-time instructors to fill up-coming openings for the program. We currently have a
faculty of eleven native speaker teachers. The positions start immediately, and the instructors selected for the
position are requested to attend a three-day orientation/training course prior to the beginning of classes. Housing
and a decent stipend will be provided during that period.

Yonsei ELP is an English Language Program specifically designed for young Korean children under the
patronage of Yonsei University Foundation and the Institute of Language Research and Education of Yonsei
University at Wonju, with mission of providing quality English language teaching to children in a nurturing and
child-centered learning environment based on the principles of Christian love, service, and sacrifice, the founding
philosophy of Yonsei University. We want dedicated, caring teachers to work at our school, people who love
children and who consider teaching as a profession.

Wonju is located one and a half hours southeast of Seoul.

Working conditions:
1. Max. 26 contact hours each week
2. Monday - Friday, no Saturdays and Sundays, and no split shifts
3. Four weeks paid vacation in addition to all national holidays (one week in summer, two weeks in winter, and
another week at the end of February)
4. Class size – 8 to 12 students
5. Set curriculum, syllabi and teaching materials provided (Let’s Go, See Saw, English Time, English Zone, iBT
TOEFL)
6. Optional overtime teaching opportunities with overtime teaching payment of 30,000 won per hour

Education/experience requirements:
1. B.A. degree (major in education, teaching certificate, or TESOL degree preferred)
2. Preferred at least two years of English teaching experience to K – Grade 9

Salary/benefits with an annual contract:
1. A salary of 2.3 million won per month
2. Housing: A furnished studio-type apartment
3. Round-trip airfare from point of departure or a round-trip to Japan if hired locally
4. Medical, Accident, national pension
5. Severance pay
6. Visa fees subsidy
7. 4 days paid sick leave or attendance bonus for unused sick leave days
