Seoul. Ilsan itself is a peaceful clean and beautiful residential city that has incomparably cleaner air than
metropolitan city , Seoul.
Ilsan is a very new clean,peaceful and residential city. About 400,000 people live here.
In addition, Ilsan has a good and convenient access to Seoul.
You can get to the downtown Seoul by bus in less than 40 minutes.
By subway?, just a little more time.

And Guri itself is a medium-size, very new and well-designed suburban city that is located very near Seoul
territory.
It can be said that Guri is one of many satellite cities spattered along the territory of Seoul metropolitan area. Guri
itself is a city of 200,000 people. Due to very convenient transportation system between Seoul and surrounding
satellite cities, you can go to one of Seoul downtown called Jam-sil within 20 minutes by bus and to Gang-byun
within 10 minutes by bus that runs every 5 minutes.

G1230 Educational Institute is in search of qualified English teachers all year round.
But at this moment,
We have two full-time teacher openings in Ilsan for the early July session and one position in Guri, Gyeonggi
province

ABOUT G1230 Educational Institute
G1230 first opened its door in 1995. Since then, G1230 has focused on helping students aiming to advance to
special-purpose high schools achieve their goal. Now, G1230 has about 15,000 ambitious students and 770
Korean staff. Special-purpose high schools in Korea refer to high schools that put a high priority on specific
subjects like English or science. So, we call them science high school, foreign language high school and Minjok-
sagwan high school. All these schools accept only top students of each middle school. In the case of Minjok-
sagwan high school, it takes just top 100 students among 700,000 students across the country. G1230’s mission
is to help and guide those excellent students by teaching them with passion and sincerity. G1230 divides English
into 4 sections(reading, listening, writing, speaking) for teaching so that each section can be best learned and
customized to the students’ practical needs in preparing for the entrance exam of special-purpose high schools.
Monthly Salary : 2.0 to 2.4 million won (depending on qualifications)
On top of monthly salary, FREE furnished clean Single Studio will be provided.
Without Housing , monthly salary is 2.4~2.8 million won
Qualifications :
1. Native English speakers from the U.S.A., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa
(Korean American or Korean Canadian or Gyopo is preferred)
2. Must possess their original bachelor's university degree
3. Possession of teaching certificates like TESL/TEFL or TESOL certificate can be a plus factor for your salary
4. Passionate, friendly, positive, sociable, hard-working, patient and professional
5. Team oriented and love for children is a must
Benefit package :
1. E-2 visa sponsorship
2. New furnished single studio
3. National Medical Insurance (half paid by the school, half by the teacher, includes check-ups and dental care)
4. Severance Pay at the end of 1 year contract (equivalent to one month's salary)
5. sick day bonus: W400,000
6. Vacation – 5~6 days (split into two periods (summer and winter) ), in addition to all national holidays and one-
day off each month.
7. National Pension Fund
8. Teacher training including class observation before starting (paid)
Working conditions:
1. 24 classes per week (Monday through Friday)
2. No split shifts.
3. Teachers must come to work by 3:30 p.m. Classes start at 4:30 p.m. and the last class ends at 11:10 p.m.
during the regular session (3:30 ~ 4: 30 -> prep time)
4. During the summer & winter months (Twice a year: August & January), teachers must come to work by 8:50.
the first class starts at 9:20 a.m. and the last class ends at 5:00 p.m. (8:50 ~ 9:20 prep time)
5. Students range from 4th grader elementary to middle schooler
6. Up to 20 students per class(maximum) . In most of the classes, less than 20
7. Contract term : one year
