6~12 Months contract from June and July in a Warm Costal city, Masan

ECC Masan has Language Instructor positions available from June and July of 2007. We are looking for
professional-minded people who want to learn the core values of EFL/ESL instruction in a safe, reliable and very
rewarding environment.

ECC Masan opened in 1997, and is now recognized as the largest and most professional English school for
children in the Masan district (population approx. 450,000). More than 67 foreign teachers have successfully
completed rewarding contracts at the school over that period - half have ended up returning to Korea to take up
more advanced positions and 16 have returned to ECC Masan itself to undertake follow-up contracts. In the
bewildering world of English language teacher recruitment in Korea and its associated confusing array of contract
details and benefits/drawbacks, those statistics are very important. The owners of this school know how to take
care of their foreign teachers down to the smallest detail, and they are proud of the friendly relationships they still

The Basics of the ECC Contract are:

- 1.9 million won for 94 hours teaching/month or 2.1 million won for 110 hours teaching/month

- No split shifts

- Medical and Dental Insurance supplied

- 14 vacation days in addition to Korean national public holidays

- Share Accommodation (2~3 bed rooms) in excellent quality apartments by 2 teachers (or one room studio for
one teacher) close to the school

- Airfare supplied and paid up front before your departure

The positions involve teaching children aged 5-17, with the bulk of the students being aged 9-13. At the moment,
8 foreign teachers are working at ECC Masan, so you can expect plenty of helpful support and advice from them.
The owner speaks excellent English, and more importantly, has an excellent understanding of Western culture
and thinking. He is always on hand to take you to the doctor or bank to send money home, or to adjust or fix
anything you might need with respect to your accommodation. He will also help you to organize travel trips within
Korea or to neighboring countries like Hong kong Japan, Thailand and China during your vacation periods.

teachers complete successful contracts and leave happily and confidently in their ability to teach English as a
