Jigu Foreign Language Institute in Daegu, Korea is seeking to employ one native English speaker to teach
students ranging from grade 1 to high school. Jigu employs 4 Native English speakers who work with Korean co-
teachers to give students a positive learning experience. Our staff works well together and we offer a good
employment package to the successful job applicant.

What we offer:

* Salary between 2.0 and 2.2 million won before taxes and deductions depending on experience and
qualifications
* Round trip economy airfare from your city of residence
* Fully furnished air-conditioned apartment within walking distance to the school. You will be expected to pay the
utilities (phone, heat, water, Internet).
* Inclusion in the national pension plan and national health insurance (shared cost between teacher and institute)
* Severance pay equal to one month salary at the successful completion of your contract
* 10 paid vacation and per 12 month contract, as well as all national holidays

Teaching Position:

* You will teach 120 hours a month, Monday to Friday. No split shifts, no weekends
* Class hours are calculated at 50 minutes. Classes run from 3:35 – 9:25 every weekday
* Curriculum and books are provided for all classes
* You will be expected to attend staff meetings and give some time for class preparation and co-teacher
consultation

Your Qualifications:

* You need to provide a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from an accredited university
* A native speaker with citizenship from America, Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand or South Africa
* You must provide your university transcript in a sealed envelope from your university
