DD Dragon was founded by Steven Molteno, a British citizen who himself moved to China many years ago to be an English teacher, and has since opened more than 20 schools in that country. DD Dragon's teaching system and materials are based on many years of actual classroom experience, and as a result this position differs from most others advertised on the web.

Please note we are not a recruitment agency (who farm you out to a dozen different campuses and make you teach 40+ students per class without a syllabus) and nor are we a teaching institute owned by investors who cannot speak English, let alone teach it.

In contrast, DD Dragon's goal is to create an environment where happy teachers can pass on the gift of the English language to happy students. For this reason we:
1. limit the number of students per class to 15, thus allowing our teachers to get to know their students on a personal basis.
2. always have at least one BILINGUAL ASSISTANT teacher in the classroom to help with translating and class control
3. provide complete LESSON PLANS so as to allow the teacher to focus on delivery of the lesson and not waste time on creating lessons from scratch
4. provide CONCURRENT TEACHING HOURS, so there's no waiting around between classes
5. provide accommodation within EASY TRAVELLING DISTANCE of the school so that teachers are not subject to Asian traffic any longer than necessary
6. provide HANDS-ON TRAINING (so it is not necessary that applicants have prior teaching experience with children)
7. only teach children aged 5 to 12, the age at which they are inquisitive and a pleasure to teach (unfortunately the same cannot be said for teenagers)

Furthermore, our contract includes:
1. A salary of RMB8,000 per month for teaching up to 25 hours a week
2. Overtime teaching at the rate of RMB100 per hour
3. A contract-completion bonus of RMB5,000
4. Free fully-furnished accommodation
5. Airport pick-up
6. A working visa
7. Paid training prior to commencing teaching
