The term of Employment shall commence on June 1.
Students: elementary, middle school students
Class size: average of 12 students/class
Lesson Time : 30, or 45 minutes depending on student age and level
Public Holiday : a day that is set aside by the government as a holiday
Classroom Hours : are the actual teaching hours = the number of contracted hours (breaks are not included in
these hours)
Working Hours : are the hours the academy is open (the time the first class starts to the time the last class ends)
Our school offers the following great benefits:
1. The Employee shall be paid the total amount of 2.2 million Korean Won/month minus the deductions outlined in
section 2.
2. The Employer will deduct : Korean Income Tax(2.2% to 4% depending on gross salary); Korean Pension
Contributions(4.5%); National Health Insurance(2%); and Residency Tax(.218 to .4%).All deductions are shared
50/50 between Employer and Employee. Approx. percentages noted are the Employee's portion.
3. A full month's Severance payment will be given to employees who have successfully completed their contract.
4. That the Employer might require the Employee to work extra classes during the government school vacation
period, and the Employee agrees, the Employer agrees to pay overtime at the rate of 23,000 won per hour.
5. Teaching Hours Monday to Friday - 26~7 teaching hours per week.
6. The Employer will provide rent free single unit furnished housing for singles.
7. The Employer will provide the Employee's accommodation with furniture (bed, wardrobe, TV, VCR,
kitchenware, refrigerator, bedding, washing machine, air conditioner, kitchen table and chair...).
8. The Employee's economy airfare/ticket will be provided by the Employer. And the Employer will provide
economy return airfare/ticket upon the successful completion of this contract.
9. Where the Employee is hired within Korea, the Employer shall pay all reasonable costs including airfare and
accommodation for the Employee's visa run to the nearest non Korean mainland Embassy.
10. The Employee will be given 2 separate paid vacations(1 week = Mon to Sun). One week will be during the
summer as chosen by Management, and the other vacation days will be negotiated with Management.
Qualifications
Native English speakers
B.A (4 years degree) or more / Teaching experience(preferred)
